Jointing is not possible without a concentric accuracy of 0.005 mm. To achieve this, the planing knives must be ground in the tool body.
Sharpening is possible with the Weinig R 960, R 970, and R 980 Rondamat machines.

Jointing the tools in the machine allows absolute concentricity to be obtained and extends the live time of the tools.
Up to 50 joint processes are possible; max. joint chamfer is 0.7 mm.

Depending on the blade material, there are various joint stone versions available.
